Before writing this post, I read many reviews and downloaded “My Airtel App’ on one of my Airtel numbers. I would like to mention three most prominent features of this application which I like the most.
1. Shake and get offers: This feature is only available for Android version at present, the company will launch IOS and other versions soon. Through this app telecom giant Bharti Group has tried its best to attract almost all types of customers specially youths. Shake and save term is used for this, Bachat ki khunnn khunn. If you shake the phone new offers will be displayed on the screen. Offers mean Savings. These offers will cover a number of products including almost all Airtel services. This app so designed to follow an intuitive and easy-to- use interface that helps users to conveniently discover, access and easily manage Airtel services across Fixed, Mobile and DTH platforms.

2. Airtel Surprises Feature: Using this feature, now customers can get ‘Airtel Surprises’ coupons with every recharge that they do. They can redeem these coupons across categories like shopping, food, wellness, entertainment. Popular brands like PVR Cinemas, Flipkart.com. amazon.in, Café Coffee Day, Ebay.in, Myntra.com, Archies, VLCC, and many others.
3. I want to Feature: This feature helps the user to save his/her most frequent tasks on home screen as shortcuts under “I want to” tab. An user can make shortcuts of bill payments, recharge, buy packs, view balance, data consumed, check recharge history,record a program, order games of his choice, etc.
‘I Want To’ feature feature of this application allows the users to make their frequent tasks for example, recharge of a specific prepaid mobile number, a quick action on their application’s home screen. This helps them replicate the action in no time. The in-application payment process and its experience; and card store feature have also been upgraded in this new avatar of the appp. Now it works fast and it very secure. Now a customer can get notifications with alerts in the case of low balance, pack expiry and payment due date. Customers on ‘My Airtel’ have not to pay any data charges for using the application.
